About Bobby

For more than 38 years Bobby Hinton has entertained audiences all over the world.  As a member of the U.S. Army USO Show, he traveled for more than 20 years providing polished professional entertainment for a broad range of audiences.  In 1970, he was selected to entertain the troops in the Far East - including Vietnam.

After the Far East, he toured Europe where he worked with some of the top entertainers, such as The O-Jays, Bobby Womack and the Valentinos, The Manhattans, and The Impressions.  He performed as opening act for numerous name entertainers - including James Brown, Otis Redding, Larry Williams, The Drifters, Fats Domino, Bobby Blue Bland and many other top acts.

He entirely gave up music for almost 10 years after retiring from the military.  He wrote some of the  best works, yet to be heard during this time.  In 1991, he returned to performing and recording.  He was not quite fifty and seemed to be at the beginning of a strong comeback.

He is a down home singer and keyboard player.  When he stirs his pot of Blues, Rock & Roll, R&B, with a heaping of country rock, the audience is in for a musical treat.

Listening to the band's rendition of James Browns' "Poppa's Got a Brand New Bag" or Willie Nelsons' "Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain" will make you ask,  "Where has Bobby been hiding all of our lives"?  It's clear that Bobby is no stranger to performing.

Bobby Hinton and his band enjoy playing the music which their audiences request.  According to Bobby: "I realize that people come out for different reasons. Some are in love, some are looking for love, and others just come out to chill."  Whatever the reason, the band and Bobby feel it is their job to give them their best.

Bobby Hinton and his band have created a  CD that you won't want to miss.  Click Here to listen to some music that will take you for a trip through the past, present and straight into the future.
